Security Engineer
In this role, you will play a key role in improving detection, response, and risk management, while embedding practical, real-world security into our platforms and operations.

We are looking for a Security Engineer to join our Enterprise Services team. This role focuses on strengthening security across the organization, with primary responsibility for security operations, platform security, and vulnerability management, while supporting secure software development practices in collaboration with the Secure Software Development Team.
You will work closely with Development, DevOps, and IT teams to ensure a pragmatic, risk-based security posture, with a focus on operational security, detection, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Security Operations & Detection
Drive security monitoring and detection capabilities (e.g. Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender) in collaboration with Enterprise Services teams
Investigate alerts, triage incidents, and coordinate response activities across relevant teams
Drive development and tuning of detection rules, aligned to threat intelligence and MITRE ATT&CK
Improve logging coverage across cloud, applications, and infrastructure
Help drive automation of detection and response workflows using playbooks and orchestration
Vulnerability & Risk Management
Drive the vulnerability management lifecycle across application, cloud, and infrastructure environments
Aggregate and triage findings from multiple sources and ensure consistent, risk-based prioritization
Help drive remediation across Enterprise Services teams through coordination, prioritization, and escalation where required
Ensure visibility and reporting of vulnerability status, trends, and risk exposure
Establish and maintain processes aligned with ISO 27001
Cloud & Identity Security
Drive improvements in cloud and platform security (Azure) in collaboration with Enterprise Services
Review and strengthen identity, access controls, and privileged access (Entra ID)
Support secure architecture for integrations and platform services
Help drive improvements in secrets management and key handling practices
Secure Development Support
Collaborate closely with the Development Engineers on application security initiatives
Support integration and operation of security tooling in CI/CD pipelines
Provide input on application risks, threat scenarios, and remediation approaches where needed
Governance & Compliance
Support audits, risk assessments, and customer security requirements
Maintain security standards, procedures, and technical documentation
Contribute to implementation and operation of ISO27001 controls across Enterprise Services
Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Skills
3+ years of experience in security engineering, cloud security, or related technical roles
Good understanding of security operations, cloud security, and common attack techniques (e.g. MITRE ATT&CK)
Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, and modern infrastructure environments
Experience with vulnerability management processes and security tooling
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams
Preferred Experience
Experience with SIEM/XDR platforms (e.g. Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Cloud)
Experience with identity security and Zero Trust principles
Background in DevOps, cloud engineering, or systems engineering
Exposure to ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar frameworks
Relevant security or cloud certifications
