HR Business Partner
Partner with leaders to build scalable people practices, drive key HR projects, and support Appear’s international growth.
Role Overview
We're looking for a hands-on HR Business Partner to join our People & Culture team in Oslo. You will partner closely with leaders across functions, particularly in our international operations, to translate business needs into practical HR solutions. The role combines strategic partnering with project ownership across HRIS, performance and talent, compensation reviews, and workforce planning. You will be a trusted advisor on day-to-day matters while also shaping processes, structural capital, and data practices that improve predictability for stakeholders. You will manage HR initiatives from plan to handover, ensuring clear scope, milestones, roles and risks, and providing concise updates to maintain alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Business Partnering
Partner strategically with leaders across functions to understand business needs and translate them into effective people solutions. Provide advice on organisational design, workforce planning, and talent development while also supporting leaders in day-to-day people matters. Act as a trusted advisor, balancing long-term perspective with practical execution. - HR Projects
Own and deliver HR initiatives from scope and planning to implementation and handover. Typical projects may include implementation and roll out of HRIS, talent management programs, strategic workforce planning etc. Ensure streamlined processes, clear goals, milestones, and stakeholder alignment throughout. - HR Operations
Contribute to improvements of structured backlog and data provisioning to Management and other stakeholders. Help create predictability for stakeholders through clear communication of deliveries, plans and annual wheel, and revised or new policies, procedures and processes. - HRIS, data & analytics
Maintain, improve, and optimise our HRIS. Ensure data quality and provide stakeholders with accurate reports and dashboards. Develop and implement practices for using HR data to improve decision-making and organisational insight.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of broad HR experience, including 2+ years as an HRBP.
- Proven project management capability and a track record of delivering HR improvements.
- Strong grasp of HR principles and practices; solid HRIS and general IT skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English; comfortable producing clear materials and presentations.
- Knowledge of Norwegian and international labour law is preferred.
