Role Overview:
As a System Operation Engineer at Appear, you will provide both remote and on-site technical support, servicing a wide array of media processing technologies. Your tasks will include the installation and operation of equipment, troubleshooting, and delivering training sessions. This role demands precision under pressure, excellent problem-solving skills, and clear communication as you'll often be the primary technical contact for our clients. Some travel will be required, and the role reports directly to the Technical Support Manager. We are looking to fill four positions as System Operation Engineers. Two of these positions are permanent roles, while the other two are one-year temporary engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver technical support and onsite commissioning across global locations
• Troubleshoot and replicate issues, providing effective solutions
• Collaborate with product development and R&D for issue escalation and resolution
• Conduct operational and maintenance training both onsite and remotely
• Manage service documentation within our CRM system

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• While experience in technical support or system engineering is preferred, strong personal interest and motivation may compensate for less experience
• Expertise in broadcast technology, specifically audio/video compression and IP network engineering
• Familiarity with SDN/Orchestration systems, APIs, and broadcast market control interfaces like NMOS, REST
• IT/Networking knowledge (advantage CCNA level)
• Experience with cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a plus
• Fluent in English
