We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operational IT Manager to lead and oversee the efficient functioning of our IT operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing technology infrastructure, systems, and teams to ensure seamless day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure stability, and effective end-user support. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership abilities and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

1. IT Operations:

• Plan, implement, and maintain IT operational policies, procedures, and best practices
• Monitor and manage network infrastructure, servers, and cloud-based resources to ensure optimal performance and availability
• Oversee data backups, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain technology infrastructure that aligns with business needs and growth objectives
• Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency
• Monitor system health, security, and performance, promptly addressing issues and proactively preventing disruptions
• Provide End-User support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely problem resolution
• Identify recurring problems and develop solutions to enhance user experience and minimize disruptions
• Manage relationships with technology vendors, negotiating contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effective services and products
• Develop and manage the IT budget, forecasting expenses and optimizing resource allocation

2. Security and Compliance:

• Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures, ensuring data privacy and protection
• Stay current with industry trends and regulations to ensure the organization's IT practices are compliant with relevant standards

3. Team Leadership:

• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and continuous learning
• Set performance goals for the IT team, provide regular feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and identify opportunities for skills development

Candidate profile

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Proven experience (2+ years) in IT operations management, including team leadership and infrastructure management
• Strong knowledge of network, systems, and cloud technologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving complex IT issues
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, CCNA, ITIL, PMP) is a plus
