When you become part of Appear, you'll embark on a journey alongside two teams for which you will serve as the R&D Manager. Your initial weeks will involve a deep dive into their ongoing projects. You will meet our Product Owners and gain insights into our overall product, strategy, and direction.

As part of the dynamic Appear team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our R&D organization, collaborating closely with the VP of Engineering and the R&D Manager team.
- A technical degree in computer science or its equivalent
- Proven experience as a team lead, project manager, or a similar role
- Preferably, a background in relevant development
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Strong talent for team building
- A solid grasp of Agile management principles
- Be part of building the R&D organization together with the VP Engineering and the R&D Manager team
- Championing and supporting Communities of Practice to facilitate knowledge sharing and expertise enhancement
- Serving as the Line Manager for two teams of 6-8 individuals, providing performance development, coaching, and mentoring
- Guiding the teams by offering business context from the broader organization and helping navigate different product domains while facilitating the acquisition of new knowledge
- Assisting the team and the broader department in defining and improving processes and metrics to make more informed decisions with greater impact and value
- Formulating and refining policies for the R&D organization
